About Us

The New World Emerald Private Schools (NWEPS) is an independent, fee- paying, not for profit hybrid school which meets the needs of internationally mobile and expatriate families in FCT-Abuja, Nigeria as well as local families who want an international education.
The NWEP is an inclusive learning community. All students who can benefit from the NWEP experience are welcomed and are expected to be fully committed in their approach to learning.The New World Private Schools expects students from all over the nation and is made up of three schools:

  • Early Years Foundation
  • Primary School – ages 1-11
  • Secondary School – ages 11-18

English is the main language of tuition, with options available to follow a Bilingual French & English
All students follow a British-Nigerian based Curriculum blended with Montessori in EYFS up to age16 -GCSE. This is followed by the choice of three internationally recognized pre-university examination courses from age 16-18 – English A Level, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and BTEC vocational courses.

Primary School

This curriculum framework prepares students for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examinations in Grade Six which is the foundation for Secondary Education.

Secondary

New World Emerald Private School operates a hybrid curriculum, comprising Cambridge syllabus, Nigeria National Curriculum, and the Montessori Curriculum
